Buzz Bissinger Hates Me!

HammRadio Today: 4/30/2008 -- <br>Buzz Bissinger Hates Me!

Buzz Bissinger goes crazy on Bob Costas talking about Bloggers. Unfortunately, he never mentions my name or HammRadio.com, but I'm sure he's talking about me.

Actually, Buzz and the guy who runs Deadspin both have good points. However, the tone and tenor of blogs (it's not unique to sports blogs as attytood's Will Bunch can attest) can be downright so negative that it's hard to continue to read. That's one of the reasons why I don't allow comments here on HammRadio.com. The other reason is that I wrote the blogging software for this site and have never developed a commenting feature. So there's that.

We have discussed countless times how the tone of the media has become more snarky and negative. Of course, it's easier to write a snide remark or a snarky quip or invent a word called snarky and then use that word to describe my snide quip. However, just because it's easy, that shouldn't be an excuse.

More care and attention should be paid to what we blog about. Of course, if you are trying to type a quick post so you can get to a Phillies game or swim in the new pool. Milpool...

Liberal Rag that Huffington Post Is

Of course I found some great links here. First, Bob Cesca yells at the media for covering Rev. Wright instead of the economy or Iraq or Bush. Then Jamie Lee Curtis talks about Miley Cyrus and how she understands the controversy of going Topless. Of course, the controversy surrounding Jamie Lee was that millions of guys must click 2 or 3 pages deeper in google images to get the Trading Places Jamie Lee Curtis rather than the Actvia Jamie Lee Curtis when they type "Jamie Lee Curtis Topless" into their search.

?

Some other good finds on HuffingtonPost, MSNBC must have an entire department focused solely on watch Fox News screw up. Although this one on the Lincoln-Douglas debates is great. It's a shame Chappelle went crazy, because this would be a perfect bit for him! Can somebody get Tracy Morgan on the phone?

And this great story about John McCain, "the most qualified man to be Commander in Chief because the bozo in office screwed up the job royally." And that quote was taken straight from GOP literature! It seems he has waffled on his stance on how long we should be in Iraq for over the past few years! See, I don't mind a guy who waffles if he's just a liar. We can deal with liars. I have trouble with the guys who might be bat-shit crazy. I'm not saying he is, I'm just worried he might be.
