Digital Tributary: Keith Primeau is Honored as Flyers Stun Red Wings 6-1

We don't talk much about the Flyers here. Actually, we don't about much here at all anymore, it seems. But it's important to note that the Flyers honored their former captain at the Wachovia Center on Monday night.

Keith Primeau has retired from the Philadelphia Flyers after suffering enough concussions that playing in the NHL would not make any sense. Monday night the Flyers honored their former captain at the Wachovia Center before a game against this old team, the Detroit Red Wings.

Keith Primeau's career in Philadelphia spans just 6 years. But you don't need to spend your entire career in Philadelphia to be embraced by an entire fan base. And in a town that hasn't won a championship in over 23 years, for a team that hasn't won a Stanley Cup since 1975, all it takes is hard work, desire and a blue collar attitude to win fans over. In comparison to Eric Lindros, lets say, although he seemed to have a blue collar work ethic on the court. It was his prima donna attitude off the court that soured fans.

Primeau, himself, during last night's retirement ceremony addressed that spirt. So it's probably appropriate that following the celebration of Primeau's career before the Flyers defeated the Red Wings 6-1 [box score] last night that we take a look at how YouTube captures his time in the NHL.

To quote South Park (or Team America):
The hours approaching, just give it your best
You got to reach your prime.
That’s when you need to put yourself to the test,
And show us a passage of time,
Were going to need a montage (montage)
Oh it takes a montage (montage)

Sure a lot of things happing at once,
With mind, everyone what’s going on (what’s going on?)
And when every shot you show a little improvement
Just Show it or it will take to long
that’s called a montage (montage)
Oh we want montage (montage)

And anything that we want to know, from just a beginner to a pro,
You want a montage (montage)
even rocky had a montage (montage)

(Montage…montage)

Anything that we want to know, from just a beginner to a pro,
You need a montage (montage)
Oh it takes a montage (montage)

Always fade out in a montage,
If you fade out, it seem like more time
Has passed in a montage,
Montage

YouTuber's really like their Montages...
